For nearly ten years I have had the pleasure of working with Paul R. Smith, R.N. He is a superior advocate for patients under his care, extremely compassionate and competent. He often provides me with crucial information and takes into account the "big picture" regarding his patients. He is an excellent resource and capable case manager whom I trust implicitly. He is always going the extra mile to assure his patients are getting everything they need and he is a skilled negotiator in finding common ground and suggesting constructive solutions.

Paul, I appreciate working with you. I could always count on you to use your nursing skills to assess how Larry was doing and communicate that to me. All the while navigating the world of Covid, chronic illness and coordinating multiple caregivers and modalities of care. I have said this to you before Paul but I really mean it, you did a lot to improve the quality of his life. He was lucky to have you are his care manager for those 11 years.

I enjoyed being your client. You were always there for me: whether it was escorting me to various doctors appointments or your weekly visits to fill my medication cassette. You helped me find a place and move from that crummy flat to my new digs. While this was going on your visits were fun and enjoyable. Thanks again.

Thanks for welcoming me to the caregiving team that you and later we assembled to assist Doreen. Your insight into her medication regime and the recommendations you made to her primary physician were spot-on. They made a great difference in Doreen’s of life, and made the working with her easier for the caregivers and for me. She almost made 100—it turned out almost as good as it could.

Thanks for taking care of Mom and Dad. They both got to stay at home—their wish. They both had relatively peaceful deaths. For all you did for the two of them and for all you did for the rest of the family: listening, advising, caring. Whenever there was a crisis or things just got bad, you with your calm demeanor helped us deal with the ups and downs. Your skills and your heart make you an exceptional care manager, at least in our opinion.
